BriMUN 2019

FOR THREE DAYS,

STUDENTS ARE GOING TO TRY AND SOLVE THE PROBLEMS THAT THE WORLD IS CURRENTLY FACING.

Bremen International Model United Nations (BRIMUN) is a student-run society at Jacobs University Bremen. It aims to reinforce the founding principles of the United Nations among the youth. It encourages diversity, multiculturalism, co-existence, and intellectual debate on the modern day issues faced by the World we live in. BRIMUN’19 will be focused around the themes of migration, diversity, and interculturalism, in light with the events happening nowadays.

Research

Find out more about the status quo and look into each country’s background and policies.

Analyze

Put things into perspective, examine the numbers, try and come up with solutions for the problems on the agenda. Get in character.

Discuss

Present your ideas in front of the committee, debate and try to find common ground. Your ideas could change the world.

Conclude

Find viable solutions. Draft them. Create alliances. Comprise and negotiate. Write resolutions in order to present them and vote on. 

WHAT IS GOING ON?

Each participant represents a Member State of MUN and after registration, participants will receive the assigned countries and committees.
